1 - International Course on Tropical Diseases

• Implementation period: 2006 – 2010
• Executing Institution: Keizo Asami Imunopathology Laboratory of the Federal University of Pernambuco - LIKA / UFPE
• Number of participants: Foreigner - Latin America and African Countries PALOPS (10) Total of 10
• Course information: to update and incorporate better identification techniques, clinic and laboratorial analysis in the area of imunopathology of tropical diseases.
2 - International Course on Opportunistic Infections in HIV/AIDS Patients
• Project location: SP
• Cooperation Theme: South-South Cooperation, Health
• Implementation period: 2006 – 2010
• Executing Institution: State University of Campinas - University of Medical Sciences - FCM / UNICAMP
• Number of participants: Brazil (3) and Latin America and African Countries PALOPS (15) Total of 18
• Course information: to qualify professionals of the medical area for the implementation of clinical diagnosis and the opportunistic diseases associated to HIV / AIDS therapeutics and the implantation of laboratorial procedures  diagnoses that seek to improve the service given to HIV / AIDS patients.
3 - International Training Course for Agroforestry System Technology

• Implementation period: 2006 – 2010
• Executing Institution: National Center for Agroforestry Research of the Easter Amazon, Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - CPATU / EMBRAPA
• Number of participants: Foreigner (15), Brazil (8) Total of 23
• Course information: Theory (agroforestry systems, biological sciences, socioeconomic sciences, methodology of technology transfer), practice (practice of agroforestry systems in Tomé-Açu region) and visits (to accomplish technical visits in Rondônia, Pará, Mato Grosso)
4 - International Training Course in Rescue and First Aid Techniques

• Cooperation Theme: South-South Cooperation, Public Safety
• Implementation period: 2006 – 2010
• Executing Institution: Rio Grande do Sul State Military Police BM / RS
• Number of participants: Brazil (4) and Foreigner (12) Total of 16
• Course information: System of Firemen of Brazil, administration of safety, practice and theory on rescue, practice and technique of use of equipments, practice and theory on search techniques. At the end of the course a communication network will be structured for information exchange among the instructors and participants.
5 - International Course on Urban Management Practices

• Executing Institution: Curitiba Institute of Research and Urban Planning - IPPUC

• Course information: to Improve technicians' level on urban administration, and consequently improve techniques of sustainable urban administration in the participants' countries.
6 - International Training Course on Sustainable Vegetable Crops Productions

• Course information: to Introduce the Japanese tendencies and experiences on commercialization and on post-harvest of vegetables. To promote the knowledge about the Brazilian current situation of those subjects through technical visits.
7 - International Training Course on Cassava Production and Processing/International Training Course on Tropical Fruit Production

• Course information: Generation and technology transfer on cassava and tropical fruits, to update their knowledge on the several programs, strategies and methods that Embrapa Cassava and Tropical Fruitculture uses now to promote the development of those cultures in Brazil.
8 - International Training Course on Development of Immunobiologicals to the Public Health

• Course information: To promote the diffusion of scientific and technological knowledge, through trainings, seeking the improvement of professionals' of health on: poisonous animals of medical importance, epidemic aspects , clinical, therapeutic and serum therapy of the human poisonings caused by poisonous agents; production technology and control of serums and vaccines processes of preparation of antigens, purification and controls biological, physiochemical and microbiological; GMP, quality warranty, biosecurity and validation; epidemic aspects of preventable diseases and immunization.
9 - International Training Course for Urban Railway Transport System
• Project location: RS
• Cooperation Theme: South-South Cooperation, Transports
• Implementation period: 2006 – 2010
• Executing Institution: Porto Alegre Urban Trains Company - TRENSURB
• Number of participants: Brazil (3) and Foreigner (12) Total of 15
• Course information: to improve the theory and the knowledge on the technology and current administration used in the operation of the system of urban trains, using that knowledge for the technology transfer to the countries of Latin America.
